It's the day I'd been waiting for. I bought the ticket waaay back in March and the time has finally arrived! Milan here I come!! I woke up quite early although my flight to Milan was at 4.30pm in the evening. I went to Wroclaw to meet up with Monika, my student. The weather was really hot! Had lunch together with Monika and at 2.30pm I made my way to the airport. The journey to Milan was just one and a half hours. As soon as the plane touched down, I made my way out smoothly to custom checking. It was so smooth it took me less than 15 minutes to get out from the arrival gate. I smiled happily as I didn't expect at all that it would be so fast.

After getting the bus ticket and jumped on the bus, I text La, telling her that I've arrived. The journey to the city didn't take that long as I expected. Looking outside the bus window, the scenery was just like KL, apart from driving on the left side of the road, everything seems similar to KL.....Dah sampai Milano, I had to look for McD as I had to wait for La there...Luckily it was easy to find as it was just opposite the road where the bus had stopped.......Waited and waited at last somebody approached me from the back, trying to sound like Italian. Sah2 itu lah Nazilah and the cousin, Suraya.....Excited gila dapat jumpa La!...The three of us couldn't stop talking, jalan2 nampak orang pelik skit, kutuk2...hahah mentang2 lah diorang tak paham bahasa melayu. I don't know why, I felt so good hari tu. First time dpat cakap and kutuk2 orang dlm bahasa Melayu after so long! mcam 8 tahun je duduk kat Europe, pada hal not even a year..hahahah

Gosia & Wiesik with my parents

Gosia and Wiesik took us out for dinner in Wroclaw. It was nice of them to treat mama and abah knowing that they are leaving after being here for 10 days. We went and have our dinner at a Greek Restaurant. I was glad that Gosia has finally got to meet my parents.

After dinner my parents and I went back to the hotel to start packing. My mum bought loads of crystal from Prague that we had to carefully wrap them so that they won't brake.

I was quite sad my parents are leaving tomorrow, but thinking that I'll have a month to go, at least it keeps me going.

My first plan was to visit Versailles Cheteau, which is quite a distance from Paris but I wasn't determined due to the feeling of exhaustion. I've been going out and about Paris for the past days and I just didn't have the will to do a major sightseeing. Therefore I decided to visit La Defence instead. I took my own sweet time to walk around La Defence, a modern side of Paris with lots of modern sky scrappers. Since I went there during lunch hour, the square in La Defence were full of working Parisian scattered around enjoying their lunch. It's interesting watching these Parisian lazing around under the sun shine, enjoying their meals with their colleagues. We don't get to see Malaysians do that at home due to high humidity...Imagine having lunch at KLCC park under the striking sun, we would be showered with our smelly perspire plus b.o!! erggh!

After that I made my way to Bastille....Strolled around for a bit then headed to Etoille, took some photos and it started to rain...I think I had enough for today so I headed back to uncle Nizam's and call off for the day.

4th day in Paris...I had to go sighseeing on my own as uncle Nizam had to go to school...So as always I had to ask people around to take my photos...Dah jalan sorang-sorang terpaksa lah kan...

After watching The Da Vinci Code, I was curious to see how The Lourve was like in real and to check out if the Holy Grail is there...hahahah...of course not! I paid 8 Euro just to see Mona Lisa and it wasn't up to my expectation...I imagined the painting was big but it was just tiny and it was stored in the glass, afraid people might steal it....Well, can't complain though...at least when people are talking about Mona Lisa I can say that I've seen it!

Eiffel Tower

It's Labour Day and a public holiday in France. Uncle Nizam took me out to see Paris. The first place we went is of course to a must place visit, Eiffel Tower. Once I walked out from the metro station and saw the tower lay in front my eyes, I couldn't believe I was finally in Paris! It was a nice sunny day, good for walking...After taking tons of shot of the Eiffel Tower we walked to Champs Elysees, a center of Parisian life I would say. Here we could see all sort of French upper class, chilling out in cafes and bars. There are stretches of boutique and shops if you have the money, unlike me:-( It was interesting to see people walking along champs Elysees. You could see all sorts of fashionable French and foreigners walking down the street like a catwalk supermodel on a runaway.

It was a good sightseeing for the day without having to spend much money:-)
