CRUISE PARTY!

It's the second day of Wroclaw Reception Weekend (WRW), besides having to work on Saturday, I managed to spend time with trainees during the cruise through river Odra (the longest river in Poland). It was a hell of fun....and exhausting due to wearing the wrong shoes:-( I should have worn more comfortable shoes. The cruise started at 5.30 till 10pm..Fortunately the weather was perfect for the cruise...It was very enjoyable though I didn't get to eat the bbq! Everything, I mean EVERYTHING contained pork..even the salad. I ended up just having bread with mustard and ketchup:-( I was starving to death at the end of the cruise. I would have stuff myself with food if I knew the cruise lasted for 4 and 1/2 hours!

Wroclaw Reception Weekend (global village)

Wroclaw Reception Weekend started off with global village at Univeristy of Technology. Most trainees (all over Poland) arrived in the evening. All trainees were told to present something from their mother land..I was busy with work that I didn't have time to prepare anything, so I just brought some posters and wore baju kurung..it was good enough..some trainees prepared their traditional food..I would say that this global village is mainly about food tasting rather than presentation of countries..I expected everyone would be wearing their tradional clothes but it turned out only me and Neha from India, proudly with our national clothes. It wasn't that bad though not up to my expectation..

Prague, 2nd Day

Prague! A Tourist Heaven...
|
|
Virginia and I were so looking forward for our Prague trip. We took a day off on Friday and took a morning train. On the train we shared a cubical (Polish train has cubicals to be shared with 8 people in cubical) with American and German girls and an Irish bloke. While I was settling down with my bags, I noticed there was this girl kept staring at me and smiled, maybe she heard me and Virgnia spoke English I thought..then suddenly she asked "does everyone here speak English?" with her American accent..I was like "yes, I do." and the German girl also responded to the question. We all blurted out laughing "so everyone here speaks English" I said..good, good..Well, it's HARD to find people speak English in Poland, that's why when you finally found foreigners you'll feel grateful that at least you have buddies who speak the same language..
The journey to Prague took 6 1/2 hours...we went on our separate ways once we reached Halvani Nadrazi (train station in Prague). It's a very beautiful city as what many people have been saying about Prague as Europe's capital.
